Our Beginnings

D. Nalley’s located at 970 S. 3rd Street, Louisville, KY 40203 is an Old School American Diner serving breakfast all day. It is one of the last remaining Diner in the USA. The Diner retains its original construction since it was opened in 1967 by the Nalley Family. D. Nalley’s servces breakfast all-day, sandwiches, local dishes, and different forms of freshly made Indian, Chinese, Middle Eastern and American appetizers as specials, while providing an atmosphere, which reminds its customers of Old Louisville while staying up-to-date with the modern trends.

Nalley's is a longtime fixture in this neighborhood.

Nostalgia probably has the best of me right now, but I’m going all out and saying five stars. I’m far too nostalgic for my own good and this place pushes all of my buttons, in a good way. If you’ve never been here, but enjoy the simplicity of eating at old-school diners and greasy spoons, then you should enjoy it. If you’re like me and have memories of late nights/early mornings here, then it’s time to come back.

D Nalley’s never disappoints! Always friendly and attentive. Food is reasonably priced and prepared promptly by order and it’s delicious. You can’t beat this place.

Everything came out quickly and was cooked well!

If you’re looking for a low-key, no-frills diner establishment, you’ll find it at D. Nalley’s in Old Louisville. In my opinion, there aren’t nearly enough low-cost diners and greasy spoons in Louisville. The menu is pretty expansive, with not only breakfast options, but lunch and dinner too. We went with The Double Deeggs; two eggs your way, bacon or sausage, tater tots and toast ($6.95). We also ordered the Breakfast Burrito ($6.95) and a side of Biscuits and Gravy ($4.45). Everything came out quickly and was cooked well. We were actually surprised at how good the Breakfast Burrito was, bursting with eggs, jalapeños, onions, and cheese with a side of salsa and sour cream.

Great little authentic diner!

Great little authentic diner. I had the hotcake platter. 3 pancakes. 2 eggs, and I chose bacon (choice of bacon or sausage). Pancakes were big and fluffy. Bacon nice and crisp without being greasy. Fried eggs just as I ordered.

And the atmosphere is old school. Stools at the counter or booths for larger groups. More seats in the back, too. Waitress was friendly and made sure everything was just right.

The staff at D. Nalley’s is absolutely AMAZING!

The staff at D. Nalley’s is absolutely AMAZING. Everyone is so knowledgeable about the food they are serving and they are also good about understanding certain food intolerances. The food is outstanding and I love that they serve Turkey Sausage since I don’t eat pork. I really feel like the owner and staff work hard to accommodate all customers. I have never really like diners until I tried D.Nalley’s. I plan to frequent this diner for anyone of my comfort food cravings.
